## Overview

Amdocs, a leading provider of software and services for communications and media providers, built [amAIz](https://www.amdocs.com/products-services/amaiz-telco-grade-genai-platform)—a domain-specific generative AI platform that helps telecom companies transform customer experiences, automate processes, and optimize decision-making. ## Universal LLM NIM

NVIDIA’s universal LLM NIM microservice offers a unified and streamlined approach to deploying LLMs, providing support for leading inference frameworks from NVIDIA and the community, including NVIDIA TensorRT™-LLM, vLLM, and SGLang.

## Data Flywheel for Fine-Tuned LLMs

Amdocs built a robust LLMOps pipeline based on the [NVIDIA AI Blueprint for building data flywheels](https://build.nvidia.com/nvidia/build-an-enterprise-data-flywheel); NVIDIA NeMo™ microservices for streamlined fine-tuning, evaluation, and guardrailing; and NVIDIA NIM™ microservices.

## amAIz for AI Factories

The Amdocs amAIz generative AI platform and amAIz agents are designed to seamlessly integrate with AI factories, including utilizing NVIDIA AI Enterprise. amAIz Agents can autonomously manage customer care, sales, and network tasks, enabling telecom-native operations that enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.

## Benefits and Results

Using NVIDIA NIM microservices, Amdocs achieved improvements in cost and latency:

* **Decreased costs to operate:** Using telecom-based [retrieval-augmented generation](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/glossary/retrieval-augmented-generation.md) on NVIDIA infrastructure, Amdocs reduced the number of tokens consumed for deployed use cases—by as much as 60 percent for data preprocessing and by up to 40 percent for inferencing. This enabled them to achieve the same level of accuracy at a significantly lower cost per token, depending on various influences and volumes used.
* **Latency enhancements:** The collaboration has successfully reduced query latency by approximately 80 percent, ensuring that end users experience near-real-time responses. This acceleration enhances user experiences across commerce, care, operations, and beyond.
